It’s hard finding any real kind of accurate data for the Spartanburg County real estate market. Spartanburg County appears to have a very stable to slight appreciation in most of all its school districts. Per the Spartanburg MLS system there were a total of 4187 homes sold in 2006 with the average price being $140,323 and the median price being $121,900. Average DOM was 132.
In my humble opinion South Carolina is a sleeping real estate giant. Stable to slow appreciation rates mean that home prices are true and not inflated like numbers of cities around the country. People looking to relocate should consider the Spartanburg County area. We have two major cities located close to us, to the northeast “Charlotte” and southwest “Atlanta”. The mountains and coast are within a half days ride. Weather is comfortable all year round and we have plenty of activities to keep anyone busy.
